I’m Karen.
I have been a professional Film/TV and voice-over actress for 30 years.
I teach acting for all ages. In person or online audition coaching, self tape services and various acting workshops in Ottawa, Canada.
My Approach:
If you are an actor who needs help with an audition or wants to get into acting, I got you! I encourage you to understand acting in a simple way, push you out of your comfort zone and have fun while doing it. I love to laugh, challenge you, and share my own experiences so that you know I have been there…and still am. I have helped dozens of actors book roles, get multiple call backs, and believe in themselves ( and get casting directors to as well!). I work with people of all ages and walks of life.
Whether you are an actor, an entrepreneur, real estate agent or work in a corporate environment, I will help you feel at ease with performing/speaking in front of others. My greatest joy is seeing you succeed.
About Me:
I have been an actress for 30 years, including lead roles on 7 TV shows, guest stars, dozens of lead roles in films, hundreds of voice overs in radio, TV, video games, audiobooks and multimedia campaigns. I created, produced and hosted my own national cooking show in French as well.
I have been coaching actors and various clients who want to be more comfortable in front of the camera for over 5 years. I offer audition coaching online and in my studio for beautifully filmed self tapes, editing included. Follow my social media accounts for various workshops I teach in Ottawa!
I taught at the Screen Acting Academy in Ottawa, Canada for 4 years, I coach internationally online at Skills Hub For Actors since 2021. While I was raising my daughter, I pursued my passion of marketing and advertising, so I have this extra perspective when coaching commercials - especially when it comes to voice over and working with brands.
